On my journey I’ve choose to do music and do it well, love what I want in life, love it honestly, to walk in the forest and be a part of nature. Born Clive Carnakie Marshall September 26, 1974, I spent most of my youthful years in the parish of St. Anns where I attended Marcus Garvey Technical High School before leaving to join Mount Zion High School in Ochi Rios. In 1994 I moved to Canada to join my mother being away from my roots I realized I had a special love for the music and in 1995 while attending Western Technical High I decided to go after my one love and passion. I started playing at birthday parties and basement jams with a few of my schoolmates. After just two years playing at parties I was deemed the next young selector to look out for, but I didn’t want to play at just birthday parties and basement jams so in the summer of 1998 I became a member of the Diplomat Sound System family playing against some of the best sound systems in the world, such as Stone Love, Bass Odessy, Tony Matherhorn, Fire Links. I have played at numerous big name parties and events worldwide such as Fully Loaded, Road to World Clash, and Club Amazura. In 2005 I decided that I wanted to do more in music than just being a selector I wanted to touch people with music in a way which inspired and motivated them towards upliftment. September 2009 is the return of Clive Marshall aka CYTA with The Journey of a Sound Man chapter 1 and to be continued.
